If you have a fifty-foot or longer extension cord you'd be served well by having a place to keep the cord tangle-free when not in use. There are several types of commercial cord caddies available but you can make a practical caddy from several small PVC pipe cuttings, end caps, and t-connectors.
PVC plan weblog PVC Workshop shares that the cord caddy merely needs 10 small pieces of PVC pipe, six t-connectors, and four end caps and to use ?-inch diameter PVC. The caddy in the photo above is for a 100-ft cord, so if your cord is longer you may consider making the two vertical PVC sections in the center of the caddy longer in length to accommodate extra wrapping.
